Be Your Strongest Self
She
tried to fly. Fly high.
Unaware
that the wind was strong and her wings so weak.
She
remained unflustered. Unperturbed.
Put up a
brave face but with a trembling heart.
Slowly,
the gust of wind underneath her wings carried her higher.
Then,
she soared. She soared so high.
Never to
look back ever again.
Have you ever felt like giving
up? Not knowing where you went wrong and what you didn’t do enough. I have felt
like that. So seldom but yes, I have. The last few days have been tough with a
few mishaps here and there and every day bringing a new challenge. Sometimes I
feel like I haven’t made the right choices and a thought has crossed my mind,
more than once, that may be I overestimated myself. I have reflected upon my
decisions and wondered where I went wrong.
And just like that, I have also
realized that there is no right or wrong decision. There are only decisions. Decisions
made. That decision may have proven not to be the best one with time but it was
what occurred as the righteous thing to do. I have also come to understand that
not every decision brings the result you’d wish it to. When things don’t go as
expected, it leaves you baffled, unguarded, and completely unaware of what to
do next. There isn’t always a plan B in life and that should be just fine. But
there is no point in wasting even a moment in regretting decision that has been
made.
Also, there will always be
people, trying to pull you down and mock at you. They will serve their purpose
well and so should you. No matter how hard the situation is, don’t forget what
your purpose in life is. I am writing
this blog as a reminder to myself so that I can read it and read it again
whenever life puts me in an odd situation. Whenever the line between right and
wrong is blurred. Whenever my sense of judgment abandons me and I am dazed.
Whenever life throws a question to which I have no answers. I will read it
because sometimes your biggest strength comes from within you, from your
thoughts and your words. You may feel weak and fragile but hold onto it. Don’t
be too harsh on yourself. Give yourself the luxury of time and patience. The disapproving,
judgmental eyes could be disturbing and frightening but gradually, you will
overcome. On the other side of this, you will be twice as stronger as you were. Just hold
onto it. For today, be your strongest self.
